A little about me and why I've had a camera in my hands for the last 14 years.

I love c e l e b r a t i n g  p e o p l e.

I love everything about the human experience and when I’m lucky enough to capture the essence of a soul, of a moment. I feel like I’ve won something, like I’m living on purpose by keeping this moment alive. Keeping a record of your story. The best nights of your life, the growth, milestones and the everyday moments, the ones you don’t realize are as special as you do until you look at that photo years down the road. They become priceless. I know because unless there is a photograph attached, there are few memories that I can truly relive. Unless something really off the wall happened. But I would never have remembered that time my sisters and I all ate popsicles in the rain in matching pajamas or the way my dad looked at my sister on her wedding day. Not in the way I want to remember it anyway, down to the laugh lines on his face. It's the only photo I have of him that truly captured his essence while he was alive. Which is why I've also become a legacy doula, our stories deserve to be told. 

 

I love this career that feels more like a calling, because being surrounded by love and gratitude filled moments - gives me an endless supply of energy that leaves me with a smile that can take up to an hour to settle after a shoot. So thank you for being here and for considering me as your photographer.
